Roadside Notes Podcast

Roadside Notes Podcast is part of the Faith and Good Courage series. It features short, soulful reflection Journals written and read by Christopher Tuttle, The Route 66 Chaplain. Each episode is a five-minute stop for the soul, blending humor, hope, and spiritual honesty drawn from life along America’s most storied highway.

Roadside Notes Podcast is part of the Faith and Good Courage seriesRoadside Notes is not a sermon and it is not a lecture. It is a quiet companion for the road, meant to meet people where they are. Sometimes that place is a long commute. Sometimes it is a grocery store parking lot. Sometimes it is the stretch of highway between one hard day and the next. These reflections are rooted in real moments, ordinary encounters, and the small kindnesses that often go unnoticed, yet carry more weight than we realize.

Why the Roadside Notes Podcast Exists

The Roadside Notes Podcast grew naturally out of the Faith and Good Courage Journal. After sharing written stories online, listeners began writing back with a common refrain. They loved the Journal, but they did not always have time to sit and read. Life moved too fast. There were kids to pick up, miles to drive, work to finish, and responsibilities that did not pause.

That response struck a chord.

Faith does not only live in quiet mornings or church pews. Sometimes it rides along in the carpool lane. Sometimes it hums through a grocery store parking lot. Sometimes it shows up when you are running on empty and did not plan on thinking deeply at all.

Roadside Notes Podcast was created for those moments. These are the same Journal stories, read aloud slowly and without rush, meant for the miles between where you are and where you are going. The goal is simple. Keep grace close when your hands are full and your heart is still catching up.

Each episode is intentionally short. Five minutes is long enough to breathe and short enough to fit into a real life schedule. It is not about consuming more content. It is about creating a pause, even if that pause happens at a red light or while waiting in line.

Wherever this finds you, heading home, heading out, or just heading through, I am grateful you are here. Let’s travel a few quiet miles together.

Watch Roadside Notes

Along with the podcast, Roadside Notes is also produced as a video series filmed along Route 66 in Arizona, California, and New Mexico. Each vodcast is recorded somewhere along the Mother Road, featuring real dashcam footage and roadside moments from places like Topock, Oatman, the Sidewinder at Sitgreaves Pass, Kingman, and beyond.

These visuals are not decorative. They are part of the story. Sunrise drives, desert horizons, weathered pavement, and quiet stretches of highway all shape the reflections being read. Sometimes you have to see the miles to feel the message. The road itself becomes a companion in the telling.

Watch the vodcast on YouTube and experience the journey as it was meant to be shared, from the driver’s seat of Route 66.
