Still Pouring | Stories From Behind the Counter
Still Pouring is an original podcast and writing series from Christopher Tuttle, the Route 66 Chaplain and creator of Faith and Good Courage. This is the other side of the counter. Not the weekly journal. Not the Thursday story. This is Christopher stepping away from the mic for a minute, sitting down, and talking honestly about faith, kindness, chaplaincy, the road, and the sacred moments hiding in ordinary life.
No schedule. No agenda. No invoice. Just honest conversation over a second cup of coffee.

What Is the Still Pouring Podcast?
The Still Pouring podcast is a standalone audio and writing series rooted in personal storytelling, quiet faith, and real life experience along Route 66. Each episode is written and read by Christopher Tuttle, the Route 66 Chaplain. These are not interviews. There are no guests. No roundtable discussions. Just Christopher behind the counter, pouring what’s on his heart.
Think of it like the conversation that happens after the story is told. The second cup of coffee. The honest moment when everyone else has gone home and the real talk begins.
These episodes arrive when they’re ready. Not on a fixed schedule. Not manufactured for a calendar. The Still Pouring podcast publishes when the words won’t wait. That’s what makes it different from everything else in the Faith and Good Courage family.

Who Is Christopher Tuttle?
Christopher Tuttle is the Route 66 Chaplain and creator of Faith and Good Courage, a storytelling ministry rooted in the highways, diners, and quiet stretches of the American Southwest.
He spent thirty years in broadcast radio. He has officiated hundreds of weddings. He has walked into rooms where people needed someone to show up and say something true, and he has never once handed anyone an invoice on the way out.
The Still Pouring podcast is the natural extension of all of that. The stories that don’t fit neatly into a weekly journal. The questions he’s still sitting with. The things faith asks of you when nobody’s watching and you’re the only one left in the diner.
Christopher believes that the sacred hides in ordinary places. A diner counter. A desert highway. A can of soup with a flip top cap handed to a stranger on the street. Still Pouring is where those stories live.

What the Still Pouring Podcast Is About
The Still Pouring podcast covers the territory that lives between Sunday morning and Monday reality. Episodes have explored:
- Faith wrestled with honestly, not performed for an audience
- The tension between Matthew 25 and Matthew 6 and what it actually looks like to do good without making it a show
- The exhaustion that isn’t a rest problem but a signal pointing you toward the right road
- What Maui and Route 66 have in common and why both places choose their people
- Why the counter at a Route 66 diner is open to everyone or it’s open to no one
- Kindness that doesn’t need a price tag or a twelve week program attached to it
- The man in the mirror behind the counter and what chaplaincy teaches you about yourself
These are not sermons. They are not lectures. They are stories from a man who has been behind the counter long enough to have seen everything, and who still believes the most important thing he can do is keep the coffee hot and the door open.
The Still Pouring Podcast Is Always Free
Everything in the Still Pouring podcast is free. It’s always going to be free.
If something Christopher writes or says ever means enough that you want to buy him a cup of road coffee, a gallon of gas, or a slice of pie, there’s a way to do that on Substack and he’s genuinely grateful when it happens. But it’s never required. Not even a little.
Just like the best diners on the Mother Road.
