My Sin Is Complicated Podcast

My Sin Is Complicated podcast with Chaplain Christopher Tuttle

My Sin Is Complicated is a new podcast from Faith and Good Courage, and it started with a sermon. The pastor talked about the things we do and quietly allow, and one example stuck with me. The phone in my pocket. The minerals that make it work are often mined by children who are underpaid and overworked. I knew that. I still use the phone. That’s when it hit me. My sin is complicated.

It’s easy to spot the sins we condemn. The ones in our pockets, closets, and shopping carts are harder to see. The cheap clothes stitched by underpaid hands. The gossip we dress up as prayer requests. The selective outrage that lets us condemn others while excusing ourselves. These are the sins we’ve quietly learned to live with.

“Before anyone picks up a stone, we look in the mirror.” – Christopher Tuttle, — My Sin Is Complicated | Faith and Good Courage

My Sin Is Complicated is an honest, first-person look at those everyday sins. It isn’t a show about pointing fingers. I confess my own struggles first, wrestle with Scripture and real-life stories, and sit honestly in the tension between conviction and helplessness.

This isn’t a show about shame, either. Every episode lands where the Gospel always does. Grace. Practical next steps. And the peace that comes from trusting God with what we can’t fix.

It’s for believers who feel the weight of living faithfully in a complicated world. For the one who’s tired of hearing about other people’s sins and is ready to look at their own. For anyone who wants honesty without hopelessness.

The goal of My Sin Is Complicated isn’t to make anyone feel crushed. It’s to tell the truth. Jesus said to deal with the plank in our own eye before the speck in someone else’s. That’s where this show lives.

Each episode takes one everyday sin, looks at it honestly, and asks what faithfulness looks like when the problem is bigger than any one of us. We won’t fix the world’s supply chains. But we can ask where our treasure is, give quietly, choose more thoughtfully, and trust God with the rest.

What My Sin Is Complicated Will Explore

Every episode of My Sin Is Complicated starts with something ordinary. A purchase. A habit. A conversation we didn’t think twice about. Then we follow it back to the people it touches and ask the hard question: what does faithfulness look like here?

Some episodes will look at what we buy and who made it. Others will look at how we talk about people, what we scroll past, how we spend our time, and where our money quietly goes. Some will look at the sins we’re quick to name in others and slow to see in ourselves.

None of it comes with easy answers. But My Sin Is Complicated isn’t about having every answer. It’s about being honest enough to ask the questions, humble enough to admit where we fall short, and hopeful enough to believe God’s grace still meets us there.
