Healing Highway Stories

Healing Highway Stories

Healing Highway Stories are reflections told from the road, shared in moments of stillness, recovery, and quiet courage. These stories are part of the Faith and Good Courage project and focus on healing, not perfection, progress, not arrival.

Where Roadside Notes are written reflections from the journal, Healing Highway stories are often shaped by motion, place, and presence. Many are recorded along Route 66, in places where the road slows you down long enough to listen to your own heart.

Stories of Healing from the Open Road

Healing Highway is not about fixing everything. It is about noticing what still works, what still breathes, and what still hopes, even when the road has been long.

  • Each story is rooted in real experience, not theory.
  • Many include video or audio reflections recorded on location.
  • These stories explore healing from grief, burnout, fear, and spiritual fatigue.

Some Healing Highway stories stand alone. Others connect directly to written reflections found in the Faith and Good Courage Journal.

Part of the Faith and Good Courage Story

Healing Highway Stories are a companion to the written journal, not a replacement. They live alongside Roadside Notes and offer another way to experience the same heart, sometimes spoken aloud, sometimes framed by sky, pavement, or a quiet stretch of highway.

If you prefer to read, you may find what you need in the journal. If you prefer to listen or watch, Healing Highway offers a different door into the same room.

Faith and Good Courage is not about having all the answers. It is about staying on the road long enough to discover that healing often happens while you are still moving.

Many Healing Highway Stories are also shared as spoken reflections. You can watch these stories on the Faith and Good Courage YouTube channel, where they are paired with real road footage and quiet moments from Route 66. Audio versions are available through Apple Podcasts for those who prefer to listen while driving, walking, or simply sitting with a cup of coffee.

Your Anxiety Isn’t Welcome Here
You know that feeling, when you open your eyes and your chest is already tight?
Like the day started hours before you showed up and it’s sprinting without you. That quiet kind of panic that never shouts… but never shuts up either.

Gas Stations and Grace
There’s something about the clink of a gas station bell in the middle of nowhere that hits different. Feels more sacred than any cathedral I’ve ever stood in. And I’ve stood in a few, stained glass, pipe organs, the whole thing.
